Field Trips

Now scheduling virtual field trips for 2021

Our qualified educators have degrees in science – from biology to astrophysics – and specialize in working with school-age children. Our field trips are designed in collaboration with teachers from Bay Schools and align with Ohio Academic Content Standards. Best of all, Lake Erie Nature & Science Center field trips engage students in inquiry-based learning using our extensive collections and resources, including native wildlife, state-of-the-art planetarium, interactive exhibits and access to the 100-acre Huntington Reservation parkland with its forest, field, stream and Lake Erie habitats.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lake Erie Nature & Science Center is not offering on-site field trips at this time. Please see our virtual field trip offerings listed in the teacher guides below.

To schedule a virtual field trip, please email Katy Downing at or call 440-871-2900.
