Lake Erie Nature & Science Center offers college students the opportunity to gain unique experiences in the fields of astronomy, education, and wildlife.

Education Internship

Lake Erie Nature & Science Center is seeking interns to take part in a unique educational opportunity by assisting with preschool, school-age and public education programs. Interns will assist with program activities, supervise children 18 months through 18 years and assist with public education programs in addition to administrative duties.

The William and Shirley Snider Family Scholarship

Applications are accepted through April 30, 2020. A committee comprised of Snider Family members, Center staff and volunteers will review all applications. Recipients will be notified within two weeks after the decision has been made. A check will be issued directly to the university or college.

Each year, Lake Erie Nature & Science Center makes available two $500 scholarships to high school seniors or the equivalent who have performed at least 50 hours of volunteer service at the Center during the previous calendar year. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and must be accepted at any accredited college or university to pursue a course of study that would contribute to and further the mission of the Center.
