Our mission to educate and inspire is strengthened through our partners and affiliations.

Cleveland Metroparks

Lake Erie Nature & Science Center is an affiliate of the Cleveland Metroparks and leases space from this Ohio political subdivision. We are one of several nonprofit organizations able to operate within this unique jurisdiction which is nationally known for consistently receiving the support of local voters! Our Center abuts Huntington Reservation allowing us to extend our learning environment well beyond our front doors.

Ohio Sea Grant

For more than 30 years, Ohio Sea Grant has worked to protect the environment of Lake Erie and the Great Lakes. With a strong combination of research, education and outreach efforts, as well as partnerships with academia, governmental agencies and the private sector, Ohio Sea Grant works with the Lake Erie community to solve the region’s most important environmental and economic issues.

Ohio Lights Out

The Ohio Lights Out campaign is an innovative approach to bird conservation, as it could significantly reduce bird collision deaths, as well as assist building owners and managers to decrease their energy costs. Ohio Lights Out staff and volunteers work with managers at enrolled buildings to adapt the building’s current lighting scheme to reduce dangers to nocturnally migrating birds while maintaining the building’s safety standards and aesthetic beauty.
