  • Adult troop leaders must leave a driver’s license while backpacks are checked out. Individual Cadettes and Seniors must leave a $20 deposit.

Girl Scout Overnights

Spend the night at Lake Erie Nature & Science Center! Join us for night hikes, crafts, music, games, animals, night sky activities and more! Each overnight may vary in activities based on the program being offered. All participants receive an evening snack and Continental breakfast in the morning.

Girl Scout Days (and Nights!)

Join us for the day (or the evening) as we explore a science related badge that will make learning and earning lots of fun! Science badges are some of the most difficult to earn, so use the expertise of Lake Erie Nature & Science Center staff to help bring the concepts alive through interactive, hands-on programs.

Special Events

Think of Lake Erie Nature & Science Center for your Girl Scout special event. Your troop can celebrate the culmination of two years in each scouting level with a Bridging Ceremony in our picturesque backyard garden.

General Policy Information

The educational staff at Lake Erie Nature & Science Center provides age-appropriate activities for their program participants. To insure the safety of all program participants we ask that siblings and other non-participants do not attend. The Center requires troops to follow all procedures as listed in Safety-Wise and to adhere to adult/child ratios.

The time listed on your confirmation is the starting time for the program. Troops should arrive early to allow for check-in. If a program start is delayed, the program will be shortened to conclude at the originally scheduled time. This may not allow the full completion of the requirements to earn the Try-It, Badge or Interest Project. We ask that you do not bring food and drink to any program unless specified in the program description or unless approval is received in advance.
