Development Specialist (part-time)
The Development Specialist will help to advance the mission of Lake Erie Nature & Science Center by supporting its philanthropic functions, database records management, and fundraising activities for the organization’s donors and funders. Working collaboratively with the Development staff, the Development Specialist will be responsible for database functions including data entry, donor correspondence and acknowledgement, and general maintenance of constituent records. The Development Specialist will assist in the areas of prospect research, donor stewardship, grant writing, and reporting.
Preschool Specialist (part-time)
The Preschool Specialist will be responsible for teaching science and nature-based programs for children ages 0 to 6 including session classes, adult and child programs, summer camps, preschool field trips, preschool planetarium shows and some seasonal family programs. The Preschool Specialist will be responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching preschool programs for children, and occasional family events. This position will include training and animal handling.
Welcome Desk Specialist (part-time)
The Welcome Desk Specialist will be responsible for fulfilling the mission and goals of the nonprofit Lake Erie Nature & Science Center by providing customer service to visitors and callers, using database software and phone systems for sales, communications, and information, and supporting wildlife staff by directing visitors carrying ill or injured animals into the intake room
