One of the ways we accomplish increasing people's awareness of and respect for Nature and Animals is by performing LIVE ANIMAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS and LIVE ANIMAL EVENTS. We go to schools, scout groups, church groups, civic organizations, hospitals, libraries, festivals, senior facilities and just about any place which will provide us an audience.
A Live Animal Outreach Program is generally 45-60 minutes long and includes both wildlife and exotic/domestic animals. We try to include some "hands-on" opportunity for the audience. Specific program content, including animals presented and topics discussed can be individually tailored to the audience. We do programs for audiences of Preschoolers to Senior Citizens and everyone in between. A typical program would include a hawk, opossum, chinchilla and snake. The fee for a program is $150* and can be scheduled for days or evenings, 7 days a week.
Live Animal Events are different from an outreach program, where we speak to the same audience for up to an hour. An event audience moves around and we more informally interact with whomever is in front of our station. Live animal events cost $25/hour with a minimum fee of $50*. Scheduling is dependent on our ability to staff the event.
*Upcoming pricing change: Starting Janurary 1, 2011, the Program fee will be $175 and Event fee will be $50 first hour, then $25/hour. For programs and events outside of Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties, 40¢/mile will be added to the fee.
