early childhood programs

Our Philosophy

Our early childhood programs build on children’s inherent curiosity about the world by using hands-on nature-based activities to foster social, physical and academic development.

Our experienced teachers encourage children to develop an attitude of inquiry and respect for the natural world. They do this through dynamic, age-appropriate activities that integrate science, math, literacy and the arts while encouraging cooperative learning and social competence.

Our preschool programs are designed to be taken in combination with each other as a stand-alone preschool experience. Participants can begin with Nature Nuts at age three, then add Log Cabin Explorer’s Club and Forest Friends at age four. We cover all Ohio’s early learning standards and perfectly prepare your child for Kindergarten – naturally!

Programs are also extremely effective and enjoyable when taken as a complement to traditional preschool or kindergarten. For more information, to discuss the best fit for your child or with questions about programs, please contact Teece Lester at 440-871-2900 x214 or Teece@lensc.org.
