- Science concepts sprang to life for students and their teachers who participated in hands-on, interactive School Field Trips.
- 29,150 children and adults were wowed by the amazing universe in our Walter R. Schuele Planetarium and our StarLab portable planetarium.
- Our educational mission doesn’t begin or end at our doorstep – 26,850 people enjoyed live animal or StarLab outreach at schools, nursing homes, community events and more in 2009.
- Our Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Program staff examined 1,300 animals while educating their human rescuers. We also fielded 4,350 phone calls and online inquiries about the wild animals that share our backyards.
- 110 off-site wildlife programs widened our educational reach, including collaborations that brought our live animal “wildlife ambassadors” to Cleveland Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park events.
